Interoperability Solutions Consultant

Employment Status

Exempt, Full-time

Location

LEAD North is a 100% remote company. One must have the ability to work independently, efficiently, and from a distraction-free home office environment. We do not adhere to a “work from anywhere” model. Employees are expected to work from the residence (city, state) noted in their employment documents.

Position Overview

The Solutions Consultant is a key role responsible for understanding client needs, proposing tailored solutions, and driving successful project implementation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong communication and customer service skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare workflows. While not expected to be a programmer, the ideal candidate should possess a strong technical aptitude. This includes the ability to understand technical documentation, independently research and evaluate technical components and offerings within the interoperability domain, and engage in hands-on exploration of these technologies. At times, this role will be responsible for client-facing demonstrations and presentations.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Healthcare IT Knowledge: Understand healthcare IT landscapes, including EHRs, Payers, HIEs, and other healthcare systems.

  • Interoperability Concepts: Knowledge of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, C-CDA) and integration technologies. InterSystems technology knowledge and experience preferred.

  • Solution Design: Contribute to the design of technical solutions, working closely with technical teams. Build process flow diagrams and solution design documentation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or a related field preferred. Equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience may meet this requirement.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.

  • Needs Assessment: Conduct in-depth assessments of client needs and pain points.

  • Solution Consulting: Propose tailored solutions to address client challenges.

Project Management

  • Project Planning: Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.

  • Project Execution: Oversee project execution, ensuring timely delivery and quality.

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations.

Marketing and Sales Support

  • Sales Enablement: Support the team by providing technical expertise and assisting in creating and reviewing SOWs and new proposals.

  • Contribute to creating technical blog posts and articles to enhance the company's brand and thought leadership.

  • Industry Events: Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Remote Work: Work independently, efficiently, and distraction-free from a home office environment.

  • Time Management: Adhere to their full-time, regular schedule unless otherwise communicated.

  • Communication: Ensure consistent availability for co-worker and client communication, responding promptly to messages via apps, email, and phone.

  • Compliance: Remain HIPAA certified and complete all required internal training as assigned.

  • Timekeeping: Maintain accurate time-keeping records both internally and externally for clients, if applicable.

Innovation and Professional Development

  • Innovation: Participate in internal innovation initiatives, including mentoring, individual learning paths, and internal projects.

  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration processes, tools, and methodologies.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • Skill Enhancement: Pursue certifications and training to improve technical skills.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Physical Requirements

  • Comfortable with prolonged use of a computer, including viewing a monitor and typing for most of the workday. 

  • Comfortable participating in virtual meetings via video or audio, as required.

  • Ability to accommodate travel requirements.

Travel Requirements

Moderate Travel. Travel may include conferences, industry events, company retreats, and meetings/work on-site with our clients. Non-client travel is generally optional.

Salary Range

Minimum: $80,000/annually  Maximum: $130,000/annually

Note: Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market.
